What exactly is UNDRGRND?
UNDRGRND is a dance industry showcase set in a club environment. Each event features a 3 act shows with some of Australia's finest dancers and choreographers, special guest performances, hot DJs and a pumping dance floor.
What time are the shows?
The show start times are 9:00pm, 10:30pm and 12pm (subject to change)
Can under-agers attend the event?
No, this is strictly an 18+ event.
How long will the event go for?
The event runs approx. 8pm - 3am.
Will there be any alcohol at the venue?
Yes, there is alcohol served at the bar.

Yes, there is free parking via 8 Jackson Street, Toorak.
How can I buy tickets?
Tickets will be available via the UNDRGRND website HERE, Ticketmaster and the TRAK website.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, tickets are sold at the door if the event isn't sold out already.
Is there a dress code?
No come dressed however you like! Preferably closed shoes to avoid any glass.
Is there a cloak room?
Yes, $5 cloak room is available.
Are there seats available?

Who can apply to perform in Undrgrnd?
Any dancer/dance group over 18 years of age.
How long does the event run for?
The event runs approx. 8pm - 3am.
Tech starts at 12pm that day. Choreographers will be given intermittent tech slots to stage work and consult with our technical team.
Is it like a competition?
No, this is definitely not a comp! UNDRGRND is a celebration of dance
in a non-competitive environment.
Will I receive footage from my performance?
Yes, All performances will be uploaded to the UNDRGRND Youtube page after the event.
How many pieces can I perform in?
There is a strict limit of 3 pieces per dancer.
What does it cost to be a Choreographer at UNDRGRND?
There is a $20 non-refundable application fee.
Choreographers on arrival to their tech rehearsal will also be required to purchase a wristband at the cost of $10. This will gain them entrance into the venue that evening as well as backstage access prior to performance. There will be strict security at green room entry points and there will be no participants allowed backstage without acquiring a lanyard prior to the event.
What does it cost to be a Performer at UNDRGRND?
The only cost to performers at UNDRGRND will be their entry into the event.

What does the Admin
and Performers fee cover?
UNDRGRND runs just like any other club night. In our case majority of our audience is there to perform for each other and enjoy the creative energy of UNDRGRND. This fee helps us cover VENUE, LIGHTING, SOUND, SECURITY, ADVERTISING, TECHNICIANS, STAFF. We strive to make UNDRGRND bigger and better with each revival. Any profits will go towards continuing the life of non-competitive dance in Melbourne
What is the selection process for acts?
Once applications are closed the submissions are reviewed by a panel of industry professionals and UNDRGRND Producers. Successful acts are then selected and notified by email with an offer to perform.
Can I get footage of my piece at UNDRGRND?

Is there particular dance styles that are preferred at this event?
No, UNDRGRND is about celebrating all styles of dance.
Is there a dressing room/backstage space?
There is minimal backstage space that will be available to acts for a limited duration.
What are the stage dimensions?
12.5m long 6.5m deep.
